Description
National Progressive Party (KE) split in 1951 with a majority forming the Finnish People's Party (SK) and a Conservative Liberal minority forming the Liberal League (VL) (Jacobs 1989, 540). The two parties merged again and formed the Liberal People's Party (LKP) on 29 December 1965 (McHale 1983, 214).
